LPEA Transmission Lines Conditional Use Permit at 21 Torrey County Road 500

La Plata Electric Association (LPEA) applied for a Board Conditional Use Permit for approximately 2,700 feet of transmission lines to provide power to the approved Trujillo substation. Project includes seven new transmission poles of weathered steel and wood up to 75 feet high; a double-circuit 115kV line initially operated at 69kV with an under-built 12.47 distribution line. Parcels are zoned ag ranching; future land use map designates the area very low-density residential. Planning Commission recommended approval as presented on a unanimous voice vote.

  • Prior to commencement of construction of the transmission lines, the applicant shall obtain possession of all required rights-of-way and easements necessary for the proposed project and provide documentation of such to the county
