The variances allow a 12-foot paved driveway replacing an existing gravel driveway on approximately 0.228 acres (9,920 sq ft) in the R-1 low density residential district at 212 Sylvan Street, HCAD parcel 035-207-004-0031. Part one reduces the side lot line distance from 3 ft to 2 ft; part two reduces the utility pole obstruction clearance from 3 ft to 2 inches. The waterfront lot is accessed through an easement across 214 Sylvan Street. CenterPoint stated no objection. Staff sent 26 notices and received 2 responses in favor and none opposed. Approved 4-0.
