Affirm hearings officer decision: Floodplain to MUA-10 zone change, 17 properties
The Board affirmed the hearings officer's approval of a zone change from Floodplain to Multiple Use Agricultural (MUA-10) for 17 properties. Five of the properties are wholly Floodplain and 12 are split-zoned. About 4,000 sq ft of one property will remain Floodplain. The properties are mostly built out with single-family homes, accessory structures, and small-scale agriculture. The comprehensive plan designation, Rural Residential Exception Area, is unchanged. A FEMA revised study had reduced the special flood hazard area. Four parcels at Tumalo Road and 85th Street, proposed for Rural Industrial, were split off into a separate application. Central Oregon LandWatch was neutral on this application. The vote was unanimous (DeBone, Adair, Chair Chang). An adopting ordinance will return to the Board.
