Ordinance amending utilities uses in Agriculture zones
Public hearing on an ordinance amending 17.20 and 17.10. It would allow public and private utilities as a special use and power transmission lines as a permitted use in the Ag zone. The amendment responds to Rocky Mountain Power's Spanish Fork Canyon to Mercer transmission line, which ends at the Mercer substation serving Meta. One email in opposition (Brianne Salazar: voltage, proximity to homes, fire and health risks) and one public comment in favor were received. The Commission voted 3-0 to send a positive recommendation to City Council.
