Ordinance 2026-32B - Nonprofit Sales Tax Exemption Amendment
Ordinance amending the uniform sales tax code exemptions under CBJ code 69.05.040, narrowing nonprofit sales/services/rentals exemptions while adding limited exemptions for qualifying social services and intermittent fundraising, and adding Juneau Douglas City Museum to municipal exemptions. Effective date would have been January 1, 2027. Motion to table indefinitely (killing the ordinance) carried 6-2; nays were Mr. Steininger and Mr. Brooks.
