Christ Life Academy road adoption/paving request off Blessing Road
Chris Stutz, representing Christ Life Academy (a private Christian school at New Prospect Baptist Church), requested the Committee recommend the Commission adopt and tar-and-chip a road built to county specs off Blessing Road (off Highway 64). Road was built in partnership with adjacent landowner Larry, who owns property on both sides and may eventually develop/sell lots. Road supervisor Ryan stated the road is well built but not complete per spec until tar-and-graveled and the applicant funds paving (~$19,000 as of February). No action was taken; consensus was the road is not ready to present to the full Commission. Later, it was agreed CLA could be re-quoted at current prices and, if they fund it, be included on the grandfather list under old specs.
