Housing Ordinance Update (Titles 21 and 22) - density bonus amendment
Public hearing on project PRJ2022-000713 amending County Code Titles 21 and 22 to align housing development regulations with state law, remove zoning barriers, and update density bonus program. Staff/Regional Planning Commission recommended raising the local density bonus sliding scale to 95-150%. Supervisor Barger moved to amend so that the maximum density bonus remains as currently codified (60% cap) except for a new acutely low income category at 150%; extremely low remains 120%, very low 100%, lower 80%, moderate 60%. Amendment carried 3-2 with Horvath and Hahn voting no.
