Request by Lucido and Associates on behalf of Hobe Sound Business Park LLC to rezone approximately 108.1 acres (3.7 acres A1 Small Farms and 104.4 acres M1 Industrial) to GI General Industrial. Applicant agreed to accept LI Limited Industrial. Commissioner Capps moved to grant LI on the 3.7-acre mandatory piece and leave the larger 104-acre piece M1; that motion failed 3-2 (Vargas, Hetherington, Campy dissenting). A subsequent motion by Vargas to rezone the entire parcel to LI passed 3-2 (Hurd and Capps dissenting). Extensive discussion of data center potential under LI vs M1.
