Rezoning of parcels in Hazelwood from RIVGI to RIVIMU (Bill 1993 / 2025-1993)

Ordinance amending the Zoning Map to rezone several parcels from RIVGI Riverfront General Industrial to RIVIMU Riverfront Industrial Mixed Use Subdistrict in the Hazelwood neighborhood of the 15th Ward, 31st Ward. Councilwoman Warwick moved to amend to remove two parcels; the amendment carried by voice vote. BFI Waste Services (owner of the Hazelwood recycling center) and its representatives opposed it as unconstitutional spot zoning; CSX and Allegheny Valley Railroad did not oppose the amended form. Passed 8-0.
