GSC Building Elevator Modernization (three-elevator option)
Staff architect Weston Burr presented two quotes to address failing elevators at the GSC building: ~$285,000 to modernize only elevator three (a standalone system using already-purchased SmartRise product) or ~$866,000 to modernize all three elevators at once with a unified non-proprietary SmartRise control system, plus an estimated additional $20,000-$25,000 for electrical incidentals. Elevators one and two are failing daily and parts may need to be robbed from elevator one to keep two running. Board leaning toward the all-three option; decision deferred to Tuesday of next week pending confirmation with Craig/Greg that ~$1 million exists within an upcoming debt issuance. Single-elevator timeline ~12 weeks; all-three timeline four to six months.
