Affordable Housing Loan Agreement for 40th and Alpha Apartments
Approval of a $4.5 million affordable housing loan agreement with Alpha Street Housing LP for the 40th and Alpha Street Apartments, developed by Community Housing Works on a vacant city-owned half-acre site on Z Street in South Crest. Project includes a six-story and three-story building with 69 one-bedroom and 22 two-bedroom apartments (91 affordable units) plus one manager's unit and a 2,400 sq ft childcare center, for families at 30-60% AMI. Loan at 3% simple interest, 55-year term. Also authorized $25,000 developer deposit. Passed unanimously 8-0 with Council Member Von Wilpert absent.
