Entrada Way Slipout Repair Project and Resolution of Necessity

Public Works presented the Entrada Way Slipout Repair Project in La Honda (off Highway 84), which would stabilize the eroding creek bank protecting Entrada Way, the primary ingress/egress for ~300 properties, using an engineered log slab (ELS) structure, retaining wall, and new storm drains. The item included certification of an initial study/mitigated negative declaration and adoption of a resolution of necessity authorizing eminent domain of permanent, 10-year monitoring, and temporary construction easements. Two of three affected owners now support; one (Kevin Pinger/Kerry Ferguson) objects. The Board voted to continue the item to June 9, 2026 to review new materials and research a possible reversionary easement interest. Resolution of necessity requires four board votes.
