Study session on sale/disposition of Vittori (Vatari) lots, Rio Rico
Information/study session (no vote) on returning over 2,000 county-owned tax-delinquent Vatari lots in Rio Rico to private ownership. County will initially auction 100 lots at 90% of assessed value by quitclaim deed; no right of first refusal (ARS 11-251(9)). 1999 declarations of easements, covenants, conditions and restrictions (DECCNR) of questionable validity cloud the lots. County may retain parcels in flood-control/wildlife corridors. Staff (Robert May, County Attorney's Office; County Manager Jesus Valdez; Pablo Ramos, Assessor) presented; Board directed staff to develop a notification plan, possible public meetings, and a strategy to return.
