Eminent domain proceedings against Little Thompson Ranch LLC for Bridge 1946.5A replacement

Board authorized the Weld County Attorney's Office to file eminent domain proceedings pursuant to CRS 38-1-101 against Little Thompson Ranch LLC to acquire two right-of-way parcels (1.116 acre and 0.862 acre) plus temporary construction easements for the replacement of Bridge 1946.5A, which carries over 3,000 vehicles/day. County established FMV at $50,100; final offer was $88,100. Project cost has grown from ~$5M (2022) to over $11M. Motion carried on a voice vote.
