Provides for single-family detached houses at low density, with a maximum residential floor area ratio of 0.75 (1.00 in R2X).
R3Low-Density Residence
Allows detached and semi-detached one- and two-family houses in R3A, R3X and R3-1, and all residential building types in R3-2, at a maximum residential floor area ratio of 0.75.
R4Low-Density Residence
Allows a range of residential building types at a maximum residential floor area ratio of 1.00, with R4A and R4-1 limited to detached or semi-detached houses and R4B limited to single- and two-family dwellings.
R5General Residence
Allows all types of residential buildings at a maximum residential floor area ratio of 1.50, or 2.00 in R5D.
R6General Residence
Allows all types of residential buildings at maximum residential floor area ratios from 2.00 in R6B to 3.00 in R6A.
R7General Residence
Allows all types of residential buildings at maximum residential floor area ratios from 3.44 in R7-1 and R7-2 to 5.00 in R7X and R7-3.

Allows all types of residential buildings at maximum residential floor area ratios from 4.00 in R8B to 7.20 in R8 within 100 feet of a wide street.
R9General Residence
Allows all types of residential buildings at maximum residential floor area ratios from 7.52 in R9A and R9 to 9.00 in R9D, R9X and R9-1.
R10General Residence
Allows all types of residential buildings at a maximum residential floor area ratio of 10.00, the highest of the residence districts that can be mapped outside Mandatory Inclusionary Housing areas.
C1Local Commercial
Provides for local shopping, including retail stores and personal service establishments serving frequently recurring needs, plus limited amusement, recreation and small-scale production uses.

Provides for manufacturing and related uses that meet a high level of performance standards within completely enclosed buildings; new residences are excluded except in specified M1 subdistricts.
M2Medium Manufacturing
Provides for manufacturing and related activities meeting a medium level of performance standards; enclosure is not normally required and no new residences are permitted.
M3Heavy Manufacturing
Accommodates heavy industrial uses with more objectionable influences and hazards; no new residences or community facilities are permitted.
