Huntridge Theater status report

Jay Dapper (Dapper Companies) reported no renovation has started at the Huntridge Theater. The city has funded phase two of the AMS study, which covers renovation costs and a broader performance-venue master plan. Dapper plans to transfer ownership to his nonprofit and pursue a public-private partnership in 2027, and will not seek a reduction of liquidated damages this year. The covenants run through the end of 2030. The city attorney said the commission may extend the covenant after a diligence finding and a 60-day notice process, without SHPO involvement. No action was taken.
