Text amendments for fleet-based services, drone charging, and EV service stations

Study-session review of agenda item 8B, zoning text amendments defining light/heavy/accessory fleet-based services, drone docking stations, and electric service stations. Council directed staff to: increase residential separation to 150 feet (consistent with HB 2875), cap docking poles at 30 feet (base district height), consider ground-only landing or lower-of-roof-or-pole for lighter commercial districts, and keep planning-director waiver authority via sound study. Ordinance to be introduced Monday July 20th before the state legislation's September effective date. No vote taken.

  • 150-foot residential separation for fleet services and service stations
