Microsoft Area 2 data center master site plan at 12023 Durand Avenue
Amended master site plan for Microsoft Area 2: seven one-story data center buildings A-G, a one-story office, a storage building, two utility substations, a guardhouse and other accessory buildings, internal roads, parking, stormwater ponds, sound walls, security fencing, and a 10-ft multi-use path along Durand Avenue. There are two fewer buildings than the prior plan but about 600,000 sq ft more floor area. All uses are permitted by right. The traffic impact analysis assumes a roughly 10-year build-out. The southwest floodplain area remains undeveloped. Staff's fiscal impact analysis says Microsoft far exceeds its municipal service costs. Approved unanimously.
