Nonconforming use relocation and variance for billboard, 25-16 Wabash
The Commission approved the staff recommendation for a relocation of nonconforming use permit and a variance allowing a nonconforming billboard to be moved so the existing static billboard can convert to a dynamic display. The conversion requires removing other billboards (roughly 30, calculated by square footage credits). Commissioner Holst asked to split the two motions; the maker and seconder declined. Holst and Martinson voted no, citing the variance finding that the landowner's plight is due to circumstances unique to the property and not of the applicant's making.
- Comply with all standards and conditions of section 64.302
