Rezoning of approximately 10.02 acres at 7555 East Dogwood Street from suburban ranch (SR) to urban residential (R-2). Site is former Lyons Elementary School, closed in 2013. Preliminary development plan proposes approximately 63 single-family homes with central common open space using Flexible Lot Development. Applicant KB Home; TUSD is property owner; represented by Carrie Sylvan of Lazarus and Sylvan. Passed unanimously.

Park Tucson parking rate and fee changes

Approved.

Changes to Park Tucson rates and fees. Hourly meter rates increase from $1.00 to $1.50; garage and surface lot hourly rates from $1.00 to $1.25; residential permits increase $8-$10/year; flat evening rate added at Depot garage. No change to meter enforcement hours (except 4th Avenue catching up to citywide hours July 1). Projected to generate approximately $636,000 annually to close Park Tucson deficit.
