Craft retreat ordinance amendment - staff direction
Cynthia McCarty (owner of a craft retreat at 808 Montrose Boulevard) requested amending the 2010 interim-use ordinance that requires the owner to live within 500 feet of the property. Commission gave staff direction (no formal motion) to revise the ordinance, potentially broadening 'craft' to 'retreat' generally, removing/adjusting the 500-foot residency rule in favor of a 24/7 or 120-minute response-time contact standard, and reviewing employment and interim-use provisions. Staff to bring back a revised ordinance for public hearing in about two meetings.
