Board of Education FY26 Capital Reserve Fund Surplus Release
Council adopted a resolution releasing the FY26 Board of Education surplus (~$1.6 million projected) into and out of the municipal reserve fund to fund 13 capital projects totaling about $2.5 million, of which the town share is estimated at $1.5 million (remainder state construction grants). Projects include Sunset Ridge exterior door replacement and steam tunnel abatement, Norris sidewalk modifications and parking lot expansion, high school HVAC/track resurfacing, Silver Lane boiler replacement (state grant 76.43%), SEBA roof, facilities generator, O'Connell fiber panel and bathroom upgrades.
