Monitor Point waterfront mixed-use development (LU 67, 68, 69, 71)
Approved with modifications the Monitor Point proposal in Councilmember Restler's district in Brooklyn (Greenpoint/Williamsburg waterfront). Includes a zone and map amendment changing an M3-1 district to R6 and R8 districts with a C2-4 commercial overlay; a zone and text amendment mapping a Mandatory Inclusionary Housing area and modifying regulations for waterfront blocks; a large-scale general development special permit; and a change to the city map removing a park designation. Majority of the site is publicly owned land controlled by the MTA.
